Job Title: Nurse (RN/BSN/LPN)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team at. As a Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing medical care and support to individuals accessing our services. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of program participants. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine passion for helping vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to program participants, including assessing health needs, administering medications, and performing treatments as prescribed.
  • Conduct health screenings, assessments, and ongoing monitoring of individuals' physical and mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians and psychiatrists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Educate program participants on health-related topics, including disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.
  • Provide health-related training and support to program staff and volunteers as needed.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions and treatment planning.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid nursing license and registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a community or social service context.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of health promotion, disease prevention, and public health principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to working with individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and basic computer skills.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
