Job Title: Child Care Provider

Job Summary: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Child Care Providers to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe and secure environment for children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs to promote the development of children's cognitive, motor, social, and emotional skills.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment, including regular sanitization of toys, equipment, and play areas.
  • Monitor children's behavior and ensure their safety during indoor and outdoor activities, maintaining constant supervision.
  • Provide positive guidance and discipline techniques that promote self-esteem, respect, and cooperation among children.
  • Attend to the personal needs of children, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with toileting, according to their individual routines and preferences.
  • Observe and document children's behavior, progress, and milestones, and communicate this information to parents/guardians and supervisors.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians, establishing open lines of communication to discuss children's development, concerns, and updates.
  • Collaborate with other childcare staff to ensure a consistent and supportive environment for children.
  • Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures, including knowledge of first aid and CPR.
  • Adhere to licensing regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in childcare.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to children and families.
  • Handle and resolve conflicts or challenging situations among children in a calm and respectful manner.
  • Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and childcare.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in childcare, preschool, or a related field is desirable.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
  • Ability to provide a warm, caring, and supportive environment for children.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of the unique needs and behaviors of young children.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining regular attendance.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and accommodate the needs of the childcare program.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Respect for diversity and the ability to create an inclusive environment.
  • Physical stamina to engage in activities with children and lift or carry them when necessary.
